Privacy Policy
How Tunnel Field Engineer AI processes personal data in the Android app, this website and related services.
1. Controller and contact
The controller is Jérémy Bourgeade EI, SIREN 130 106 933, sole trader publishing Tunnel Field Engineer AI under the Field Engineer AI name. Postal address: 15 rue des Boucheries, 63160 Billom, France. Privacy and rights requests: support@field-engineer.ai.
2. Data we process
Depending on the features you choose, we process:
- account data such as email address, user ID, optional name, company, job title, country, profile image and settings;
- questions, messages, technical references, photos, documents, voice recordings and transcriptions that you submit;
- cases, messages and attachments created in the Web workspace, stored in private account-linked cloud storage; mobile cases remain local until a mobile version with cloud synchronisation is enabled and used;
- device location only after Android permission and for a relevant local search; automatic AI and Web requests are designed to use a broader country or regional scope;
- AI-operation data such as module, answer, request ID, model, token volume, Web-search use, status, latency and estimated cost;
- reports and optional feedback about answers or closed cases;
- plan, entitlement, Stripe billing identifiers and Google Play purchase-verification data when a subscription is used; Stripe or Google processes payment details and we do not receive full card or bank details;
- security, abuse-prevention, error and service-health information.
The app does not request contacts, SMS, call logs, IMEI or SIM serial numbers. We do not sell personal or sensitive data.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use data to create and secure accounts, provide requested AI, search and storage features, operate subscriptions, enforce fair-use limits, investigate reports, correct failures, comply with law and improve reliability. The legal bases are performance of the service contract, consent for optional permissions and collective-memory contributions, legitimate interests in security and service improvement, and legal obligations. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
4. Artificial intelligence and collective memory
Information submitted to the assistant may be sent to AI and Web-search providers to generate the requested answer. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate or outdated and never replaces manufacturer instructions, site procedures, competent engineering review or safety approval. Do not submit trade secrets, passwords, third-party personal data or confidential documents unless authorised.
5. Providers and international transfers
Authorised personnel and necessary providers may receive data: Supabase for authentication, database, storage and server functions; OpenAI for certain AI features; Stripe for website subscriptions; Google for Android and Google Play subscriptions; Resend for transactional email; and Web-search providers or public sites when a live search is requested. Authorities may receive data when legally required.
Providers may process data outside France, the EEA or Australia. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, a recognised framework or another lawful safeguard.
6. Retention and deletion
- Account, profile and user-linked server records are retained while the account exists and deleted when the account is permanently deleted, subject to mandatory legal retention.
- Local mobile cases remain on the device until deleted, app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Web workspace cases and attachments remain linked to the account until they are deleted or the account is permanently deleted.
- Operational usage and quality records remain linked to the account until deletion; non-identifying aggregate cost and security records may be retained for up to 24 months.
- Deletion requests are normally completed within 30 days. Limited backup copies may remain for up to 90 days before rotation.
- Records required for tax, fraud prevention, disputes or law are retained only for the applicable period.
Use the in-app Delete account control or follow the verified request procedure on the account-deletion page. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a Stripe or Google Play subscription; cancel it through the purchase channel first.
7. Security
Measures include HTTPS in transit, account authentication, row-level database controls, server-key separation, restricted administration, metering, abuse monitoring and secure account deletion. No system is completely risk-free.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. You can edit profile details, revoke Android permissions, delete your account in the app, or contact us. EU users may complain to the CNIL or another competent authority. Australian users may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner after allowing us to investigate.
9. Children and changes
This professional service is for adults and is not directed to children. We may update this policy as the service, providers or law changes, with appropriate notice for material changes.
